I was robbed....

I wanted to log in long before, but the truth is I have been having a very rough last couple of days.. and the drop that spilled the glass came yesterday around 2 pm..

After a normal morning I met with my mother in law and my sister in law to have some lunch, since I just came back from the gym and they picked me up I took my gym bag with me (later in the afternoon i had to fly out to NYC) ... because of the timing I had my wallet, which I never take to gym with me cause I was stopping by the bank cashing a check and leaving to the airport afterwards... After lunch we went into Barnes and Nobles, to get a book, we could have not been in the store for more than 1o minutes and when we came out the car have been broken into, the alarm disarmed all the electronics gone and my gym bag gone as well... no one have seen or heard anything....

I have been dealing with credit cards, immigration, and banks and in a period of two hours we got everything canceled and a police report filed... I am out of town but they are changing the locks of my apartment as we speak... I am scare to death, but according to my husband strip mall robbers kind of go for cash (which they got plenty off... all of my trip funds) and credit cards, usually they'll toss away the ids and stuff I hope that is true, cause I don't want to go back home!

  1. I am so sorry that you got robbed :( It really makes you lose faith in man kind for a while (at least it did with me)

  2. I'm so sorry - that kinds of rattles your security. A couple of months ago a set of our keys was lost - we thought we had dropped them on the sidewalk in front of our house, and we were pretty sure somebody had picked them up. We eventually found the, after about three weeks, but every time we left the house together we worried about the dogs. It sounds like you did the right thing - we are sending lots of hugs your way!

  3. Oh I am sorry ... that is an awful experience. I think your husband is right, they do just want the cash and credit cards. Make sure you have your locks changed just in case. Take care!

    Your pal, Pip

  4. I'm really sorry. That is a very bad situation to have to deal with. I've had my wallet stolen twice in my life and had to replace everything. It was not easy either. My car recently had the window smashed out of it but luckily, nothing was in there for the thieves. Debbie

  5. Oh this is terrible news for sure. I am so sorry that this happened to you. Changing the locks is the smart thing to do.

    Woofs and Licks,
    Maggie Mae and mom

  6. That is really scary and a big hassle too. Hope everything works out okay!

  7. this really sucks....if I was there I'd take a big hunk outta there arses...right!

  8. Thank you guys for all your nice comments and for all the advice, we got everything changed around the house including entrance cards for the gate, keys, and all that...

But every time i think about it, i remember a new thing that was in that bag.. and the list keeps getting longer and longer...

But i should be back to normal soon hopefully..
    kisses and hugs!
